Although I can’t say that I really wanted to.
I’ve spent the last 8 years on a hiatus from all social media, and it’s suited me just fine. But there’s no denying I’ve been missing out. A fact which was vindicated within the first two hours of me being on there, when I learned three very important things;
1. A girl who I used to stalk, quite relentlessly, has just won The Apprentice 2016. Alana Spencer. (Her Peanut Butter Fudge Cake is like the Fortnum and Mason version of Reese’s Cups. Seriously.)
2. The wonderful woman I used to work for, and perhaps the most inspirational person I’ve ever had the good fortune of meeting, has won the Ladies Only Gym of the Year Award. (Unique Fitness 4 Ladies Only, I’m going to write about you soon, okay?)
3. Joe Wicks is signing books at the Trafford Centre tonight.
Okay, maybe the third one isn’t exactly breaking news. But the first two are perfect instances of wonderful things are happening to people I’ve met. If that isn’t reason enough to be on Twitter, I don’t know what is.
Now, if you find me on Twitter and give me another reason why it’s wonderful, I’ll be extra happy. I might even retweet (if I can figure it out, of course.)
